Your explanation of “gender identity” is brilliant (and a mere 19 words):

Gender identity = a status that the subject chooses at whim and expresses in words (male and female) that mean something else.

I’m committing it to memory so I can use it at every opportunity. Thank you! And I will continue to spread the word about GCLS. May it quickly grow.

@Glenna Goldis Would you be able to make a comment on the FTC document and/or ask your friends and colleagues to comment? Many thanks from PITT! The deadline to submit comments is 9/26/25. Thank you for the work that you do!

Holly, I’m in the GC Lawyers group with Glenna, and she asked me to check with you on this request. Are you asking for our group to submit a Public Comment, or to review someone else’s? Thank you!

just now

I’m asking for you and your colleagues to submit public (or anonymous) comments. There are many comments on the FTC docket from supporters of GAC. I’m hoping we can flood it with the truth and reality of what GAC actually does to individuals and families.

I live in Australia where our federal government has enshrined 'gender identity' into our Sex Discrimination Act. The definitions of man and woman were removed in 2013 and this definition was added:

'gender identity means the gender-related identity, appearance or mannerisms or other gender-related characteristics of a person (whether by way of medical intervention or not), with or without regard to the person’s designated sex at birth'

Clear as mud! I'm embarrassed that it got through our office of legislative drafting. Have there been attempts in America to define this concept in legislation? I'd be very keen to see what attempts have been made.

Australia's definition is a joke. They may as well say:

"The definition of blue is blue, or blue colored, or a blue hue, or having blue characteristics."

How about: "The definition of rock is a rock or other hard object made of rocky material or having rock hard characteristics."
